Returns and Exchanges

You can return unopened items in the original packaging within 45 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. 

Upon receipt of the returned item, we will examine it and notify you via email, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a return.  If you are entitled to a return, we will refund your purchase price and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

 Exceptions / non-returnable items

Only regular priced items may be refunded.  Sale items are non-refundable.  Gift Cards are non-refundable.  Other non-returnable items include perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products, under garments, socks).  Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that do not meet the above return conditions.

Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packing slip or invoice.   Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you.  You are responsible for any loss or damage to the returned items during shipment.  We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. 

 

Exchanges

We only exchange goods if they are defective or damaged.  In circumstances where you consider that a product is defective, you should promptly contact us at orders@carlbergsgiftshop.com with details of the product and the defect.  Include your order number and a photo of the item’s condition if possible. We address these on a case-by-case basis and will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.

If you wish to exchange a non-defective or damaged item, we ask that you return the item(s) you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

We cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, we recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the goods or proof of received return delivery.

 NOTE:  If the item(s) sent back to us are from a region outside of Canada, please indicate "Return Canadian Goods" on the package to avoid duty and custom charges.
